Freddy's son Stephen joined the family business in 1970, opening and managing the Harpenden branch. Stephen took over the business in 1990, the year our central branch settled at 42 Wigmores North in Welwyn Garden. Although those who knew him will know that Freddy continued popping in every week well into his 80's! By now Godshaws owned several stores across Hertfordshire, traded at international shows buying from across the globe, and had a local reputation that still sits at the heart of who we are and what we do today.

We've come a long way over the past 74 years, a lot has changed in the industry and we've adapted and evolved with the times. It's been a difficult year for small businesses, but we are still here and excited for the future! We maintain a close relationship with our customers, which has been the foundation of our success for decades, providing exceptional service with exceptional jewellery.
